About the role We're looking for a Finance Director who can operate across the full spectrum of corporate finance — from strategic advisory and performance control to compliance, initiative evaluation, and everything in between. We're looking for a Finance Director to serve as the senior financial voice across our Hungary and Austria operations — someone who works directly with both the Managing Directors and ownership, and carries the seniority and credibility to operate comfortably at both levels. You'll sit at the intersection of strategy and control, bringing structure where it's missing, challenge where it's needed, and clarity always. This is a role that demands as much range as it does depth. This role is based in Hungary or Austria and reports directly to ownership level.   Please note that this position is procured by a third party representing a local partner. Bolt Group companies are not involved in the recruitment process. Main tasks and responsibilities - Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the Managing Directors of Hungary and Austria, providing financial insight that supports confident, data-driven decision-making. - Oversee financial governance, controls, and statutory compliance across both markets, ensuring adherence to local tax, audit, and regulatory requirements. - Monitor financial performance and reporting, identifying discrepancies, risks, and emerging issues early while maintaining high standards of accuracy and transparency. - Drive business performance improvement by identifying opportunities for cost optimization, margin enhancement, and more effective capital allocation, translating insights into actionable recommendations. - Lead the continuous development of financial processes, frameworks, and ways of working, introducing best practices that strengthen decision-making and operational effectiveness. - Serve as the key financial liaison between Managing Directors and owners, while evaluating new business opportunities and expansion initiatives through clear, commercially focused financial analysis. About you - 8+ years of progressive finance experience, with a strong background in financial strategy, business controlling, or advisory, ideally within multi-market or complex operational environments. - Strong analytical capabilities combined with commercial acumen, with the ability to identify key business drivers and translate financial insights into meaningful action. - Proven experience partnering with senior leadership and ownership teams, with the credibility, confidence, and communication skills to influence strategic decisions. - Comprehensive understanding of corporate finance, including accounting, tax, controlling, and strategic finance, with the ability to connect these disciplines into a cohesive financial view of the business. - Solid knowledge of Hungarian and Austrian financial regulations, tax frameworks, and statuto
